Hello Quran.com Team,
I would like to report a bug related to bookmarks on my Quran.com profile.
Issue Description:
I use bookmarks daily to save the verse where I last stopped reading. However, even after deleting old bookmarks, they reappear on my profile page after some time.
For example, as shown in the attached screenshot:
* I had already deleted these bookmarks:
* Al-Anfal 8:27
* Al-Anfal 8:70
* My actual last reading position was
As-Saffat 37:30
* When I visit [https://quran.com/profile], the deleted bookmarks appear again
* I accidentally clicked
Al-Anfal 8:27
and started reading from the wrong place
* This issue has happened
twice
now (once about a month ago, and again recently)
Even after deleting these bookmarks again, they come back after some time.

Android 15 (Funtouch OS)
Browser:
Google Chrome
Version: 143.0.7499.146
Steps to Reproduce the Bug:
  1. Log in to Quran.com on Android using Chrome
  2. Go to https://quran.com/profile
  3. Delete existing bookmarks (e.g., Al-Anfal 8:27, Al-Anfal 8:70)
  4. Continue reading and bookmark a new verse (e.g., As-Saffat 37:30)
  5. After some time (or reopening the browser later), revisit the profile page
  6. Notice that the previously deleted bookmarks appear again
Expected Behavior:
Deleted bookmarks should be permanently removed and should not reappear.
Actual Behavior:
Deleted bookmarks reappear on the profile page, causing confusion and incorrect reading position.
