recitation stops when internet disruption
Omar Bennouna
When listening to a recitation, if the internet connection is suddenly lost, audio playback stops immediately, even though the next few seconds are already buffered, or in some cases, the entire audio file has already been downloaded. Playback should continue as long as buffered or downloaded audio is available.
Additionally, when playback stops, there is no indication of the exact ayah where it was interrupted. If playback cannot continue because the buffer has been exhausted, the player should:
- Keep the progress bar frozen at its last playback position instead of resetting or behaving unexpectedly.
- Keep the current ayah in view instead of suddenly scrolling to the bottom of the page.
This would provide a much smoother offline experience and make it much easier for users to resume listening once the connection is restored.

sorry didn't respond earlier, it was not clear to me but now I know. it happens when you have the sura playing and the tab is not the active one and then you loose internet connection while the playing is going on. Then the player disappears and the page scrolls all the way up or down.

Assalamu alaikum,
Jazakum Allahu khayran for your detailed report.
We tested the behavior during an internet interruption but were unable to reproduce the issue.
Could you please share your device, operating system, browser/app version, and, if possible, a screen recording showing what happens when the connection is lost?
This will help us investigate further.
