Request to Add the English Translation of Sheikh Abdul Majid Daryabadi
Saeed Nazeeruddin
The translation of Sheikh Abdul Majid Daryabadi is worth adding due to the author's command over the english language as well as comparative religion. There is also an english tafsir by the author. For some Ayat, I find this translation to carry a great deal of weight in meaning although it uses some more archaic words. It also is very close to the Arabic in many places. The translation was available verse-by-verse on a website called myquran.us but I'm currently getting network errors when trying to connect to it and I use your site for all the other translations so I would much appreciate being able to compare them all in one place.

Quran.com Feedback Team I second this, but for me it's mostly the archaic pronouns and grammar. It has a special feeling associated with it and emphasizes the sacred nature of the words being translated. It's the best of the archaic translations. Of course, with much respect to Pickthall and Yusuf Ali. But they tend to be more dynamic, unlike Daryabadi who follows the Arabic much more closely.
